Description |
This oil painting of the Philadelphia Waterworks shows a medium-high, eye-level view of the structure from the west bank of the Schuylkill River. The building is on the opposite bank backed by a tree-lined ridge, and a small, two-masted sailing vessel is in the river on the right. Five fishermen are shown in the foreground; two in a skiff and three on the grassy riverbank. |
